MUSICIANS/BANDS/ORCHESTRAS AND STATIC REPITOIRE!!!

I for one am very tired of going to see a performance and hearing musicians or groups of musicians play the same pieces over and over again from performance to performance; this is truly a disservice to the listening public and perhaps even a disservice to the musicians.  In recent months I have attended a number of performances-sometimes seeing the same performers in an early show and a later show or seeing a performer more than once within a 4 ot 6 month time span; only to hear the same pieces being played as when I saw that perform previously and with no additional new material.  This is a trend that has to stop.  Each performance should bring forth at least two or three new pieces never heard before so as to set forth variety in the performance.  Music should never stay static! Static music is a sign that the musician- band etc are resting on their butt and not giving it their all. Why not mix a performance that normally has all formated playing with some other forms- such as improvasation, free music and or experimental music.  This would really be a wonderful thing to behold.
